BAKE A PIZZA ON YOUR GRILL

For several years you have not been preparing just sausages or hamburgers on the CADAC grill ... Did you know that you can also bake delicious, crunchy pizzas on it? You can find out how to do it here! You can bake a pizza on almost any CADAC grill. The only requirement is to have a dome grill. You can buy fresh pizzas in some stores, but is it more unpleasant to make your own? You don't have much time? So take a short cut: buy a ready-made base and add your favorite ingredients. Of course, tomato sauce and lots of cheese are the basis of any good pizza!

WHY IS IT WORTH USING A STONE FOR A PIZZA?

You can put your pizza directly on the grill rack, but the pizza will become even tastier and crisper if you use a real pizza stone. CADAC pizza stones are made of durable cordierite and are suitable for all gas grills, but also for gas and electric ovens. The stone absorbs heat well and retains it. When you place your pizza on a stone, it will absorb the moisture from the dough, giving you a tasty, crispy base just the way you like it.

HOW TO USE A PIZZA STONE?

Place the pizza stone on the grill right away at the start of heating it - if you put the cold stone on the hot grill, the stone may break due to the sharp temperature change. You can also put the pizza stone directly on the grill bowl, but remember that the stone must not come into direct contact with the flames. Gradual heating at low temperature.

If the pizza is baking too quickly, you can also use a stone on the grill rack. This produces less heat, which makes baking the pizza a little slower. Make sure that the stone does not slide on the grate as this may damage its surface. Finding the best way to prepare a pizza on the campsite can be a bit tricky - you don't have a professional oven, you have equipment to use on the campsite. But that's also the charm of outdoor cooking.

The baking time depends on many different circumstances. Consider the thickness of the pizza, the temperature outside, and the ingredients used. It is important to check the baking process from time to time.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Pizza stones are very porous and absorb water easily. Remember not to submerge them in water because the soaked stone may break easily the next time you use it.

Cleaning is actually very simple; after use, the stone should be wiped with a (damp) cloth. Stubborn dirt can be removed with a metal scraper or spatula. Never use detergent to clean the stone! The stone will absorb the taste of the soap and you will be able to taste it every time you use it ... The pizza stone darkens over time and changes color in places.
